Motorcycle trauma, crushed lower body, 13 broken bones, including pelvis.


What type of prosthetic device are you wearing?

Above-knee with Endolite KX06 with Renegade foot, Iceross sleeve.

Do you have any advice to share with new patients in similar situations?

Know what you want to do with your prosthetic and understand your own skills and limits. A prosthetic is a tool that allows you to achieve and complete a task whether it’s skiing, hiking or doing the dishes faster.

Is there a resource that was helpful to you during your recovery?

The mountains.

How has your prosthesis changed your life?

As I have aged as an amputee, it has allowed me to play and help my children. (Carried son out of Wallace Falls 1.25 miles), skate ski, snow-endurance therapy.


What are some achievements you’ve reached since your amputation?

With leg, no.

Have patience with getting your limb set up; it is always a work in progress.
